Recipe

Soft steamed puttu in 7 steps

Works with every Blue Rose puttu podi: rice, wheat, ragi, maize or cholam.

  1. Take 1 cup of Blue Rose Steamed Puttu Podi.
  2. Add ½ to 1 cup water and 2 pinches of salt. Adjust water as needed.
  3. Mix well until the flour is evenly moist.
  4. Rest 15 to 30 minutes for soft, fluffy puttu.
  5. Add grated coconut and mix gently.
  6. Steam in a puttu maker for 5 to 8 minutes on medium heat.
  7. Serve hot with kadala curry, banana or sugar.
